Kate Middleton Joins the Wheelchair Rugby League Team for Scrimmage


Princess Kate had a blast although playing rugby in a wheelchair.

Kate, 41, — Patron of the Rugby Soccer League — visited the Allam Sport Centre to provide recognition to inclusivity in rugby on Thursday, October 5, in Hull, England. For the outing, she joined the England Wheelchair Rugby League in a wheelchair for a scrimmage with planet-cup winners. She also played with Hull’s Mastering Incapacity Rugby League.

Pupils from Hull FC’s Centre of Excellence also joined Kate to study about different styles of incapacity rugby leagues.

In the course of the match she confirmed her enthusiasm by clapping for other gamers, throwing her palms in the air, laughing and tossing the ball all over.
