THEY shocked fans when they revealed their romance in May, and although the short-lived affair ended soon after, Matty Healy will still appear on Taylor Swift’s new album, I can reveal.
The 1975 frontman recorded a track with the Anti-Hero star — whose album is out next month — before they split in June, and although Taylor announced her new record after their break-up, she has decided to include their song on it.
A music insider told me: “Taylor and Matty recorded the song when they were dating.
“They’re not even in contact any more but there’s no hard feelings and Taylor will still release the tune.
“Taylor was a big fan of The 1975 way before she and Matty hooked up.
“The band worked with her on her Midnights album but the songs they made never came out.

“She has a few tracks with the band to choose from but she’ll release the tune they made while they were together.
“It’s a shame things didn’t work out but they are both so busy and realised they’re not really compatible.”
Matty and Taylor’s whirlwind romance lasted just two months and sources shut down reports they had rekindled it just last month after he fired a female crew member from his band’s current world tour.
Matty allegedly made derogatory comments on a podcast about US rapper Ice Spice, who is a friend of Taylor’s and they worked together on Karma, a track on Midnights.
Taylor’s fans, known as Swifties, urged Taylor to dump Matty after the controversial comments resurfaced but it was claimed that wasn’t the reason they split.
Matty has since linked up with his ex, model Meredith Mickelson, in Hawaii while he was on tour with the band.
He was still dating Meredith back in February when he spent a number of days holed up in a recording studio with Taylor.
Meredith was ghosted by Matty and blindsided when she found out they were in a relationship a few weeks later.
Taylor hasn’t been linked with anyone since she and Matty split, and she is currently enjoying a break from her record-breaking The Eras tour.
On Monday she enjoyed a night out in New York with A-list pals including Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively.
It’s been a mega busy year for the star who will drop her fourth re-recorded album – 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on October 27.
It will feature 21 songs including five from her vault of unreleased songs.
The five tracks were reportedly written for the album 1989 but didn’t make the cut for its first release in 2014.
Taylor’s upcoming album is her second record this year after Speak Now in June.
Pregnant Pixie’s on song
SHE is counting down the days until she gives birth to her first child with her model husband Oliver Cheshire.
But it turns out being pregnant has got Pixie Lott’s creative juices flowing – and she’s planning on dropping a new album not long after having her baby.
The record would be a follow-up to her self-titled third album released in 2014.
In an exclusive chat, Pixie said: “I’ve been writing songs and I have plans to release a new album that I’ve been working on for a long time.
“It is coming in the new year.”
Pixie is also hoping talent show The Voice Kids will be back on screen soon, after being rested by ITV.
Pixie, who was a judge on the show, added: “Who knows what will happen.
“I loved working with the fellow judges and the kids’ talent has blown me away. ”
Steven on vocal rest
AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler has damaged his vocal cords, forcing the band to postpone their tour after just three shows.
The rockers only kicked off their Peace Out farewell tour two weeks ago but won’t be back until January – under doctor’s orders.
Tyler said: “I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days.
“I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding.
“We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
Get well soon Steve.
Hayley blings it on in Japan
WHILE some of the biggest names in the biz are in the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week, this trio of fashionista’s were spotted on the other side of the globe – in Tokyo.
Tiffany & Co ambassadors Anya Taylor-Joy, Hayley Bieber and Florence Pugh jetted to the Japanese capital to celebrate the opening of the jewellery brands new store, and unsurprisingly looked catwalk ready in fancy dresses – of course complimented by a bit of Tiffany bling.
I’m sure the trio enjoyed their little excursion to Asia, but I do wonder if they get the same amount of attention on that side of the pond?
No spat for Nicki and Cardi
RUMOURS of a feud between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have been around for years and the warring rappers were kept as far apart as possible at last night’s VMAs in a bid to avoid any backstage dramas developing.
With Nicki hosting the awards in New Jersey for the second time, and Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion debuting Bongos, their new single, organisers were taking no chances.
Sources said: “MTV rolled out the red carpet for Nicki, whose team demanded that Cardi and Megan be kept out of the way.
“They also insisted on the pair arriving with smaller entourages.
“MTV was trying to avoid any backstage fights or feuds.
“Cardi and Megan were given private rooms on the other side of the lot and security was tightened.”
I wonder how Cardi handled playing second fiddle to Nicki.
Ozzy’s in for more surgery
I FEEL sorry for Ozzy Osbourne, who has revealed he’s in “lots of pain” and needs to go under the knife for a fourth time following a near-fatal bike accident last year.
Chatting to wife Sharon and their children on a new episode of their podcast, the Black Sabbath legend explained: “Below the neck there’s two vertebrae where the bike hit me and disintegrated – there’s nothing left of them.
“I’m in a lot of pain, I’m in a lot of discomfort.
“The doctor said they don’t know if the surgery will work or not.”
Fingers crossed it goes well, Ozzy.
Noel keen on Vegas spot
HE has made no secret of how little he cares about Adele.
Yet Noel Gallagher seems keen to follow in her footsteps with a Las Vegas residency.
The former Oasis rocker is on tour with his band, The High Flying Birds, but admitted he would be up for a longer run in Sin City when he’s too old to hit the road.
Noel said: “Would I do Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Vegas – possibly in later life.
“You don’t have to go anywhere.
“You live in the hotel that you play at.
“Elvis Presley used to get a lift from his room to the stage – I wouldn’t mind doing that.
“I’ve got little bits of work to tidy up, and the next gig, which, as luck would have it, is in Amsterdam.”
On comedian Matt Morgan’s podcast, Noel added: “We’ve decided we’ll rehearse in Amsterdam – smoking wacky baccy, that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
“Two days of rehearsals are needed to dust the cobwebs off.
“I’m going to Holland, Italy, France and somewhere else on the next tour.”
After he finishes this run, Noel is taking a well earned break, which will include a trip to Vegas.
He added: “I’m going on holiday for a couple of weeks, and I’ve got bits to do at the studio, taking the kids away, that kind of thing – then I’m going to Las Vegas to see U2.
“They’re doing a residency, Achtung Baby – their best album.
“It’s going to be quite the experience.”
Calvin on the case, Vick
CALVIN HARRIS and new missus Vick Hope hopped on a £25million private jet and flew to Italy for their honeymoon – just days after their lavish wedding.
The newlyweds were seen for the first time as husband and wife when they emerged from a music studio in Primrose Hill, North London, before flying out to Brindisi.
Calvin, sporting his new ring and ever the gentleman, did all the heavy lifting, loading their suitcases into the boot of a waiting car while Vick beamed from ear to ear.

The superstar DJ tied the knot with his wife at Hulne Priory in Northumberland in front of their nearest and dearest, including Vick’s Radio One co-host Jordan North and TV presenters AJ Odudu and Vernon Kay.
It was a day to remember as guests enjoyed a Glastonbury-style after-party with fast-food stands and a ten-minute fireworks display.
