A NAVY plane has landed in the waters of Kaneohe Bay after overshooting the runway.
The accident transpired on Monday at 2pm at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
The aircraft was a Boeing P8 Poseidon, which was a army surveillance and patrol aircraft, U.S. Maritime Corps spokesperson Gunnery Sgt. Orlando Perez told the Associated Push.
At the time of the incident, the aircraft was found floating in the h2o with numerous people within.
The aircraft had 9 persons on board at the time, with no deadly accidents, resources explained to CBS affiliate KGMB.
Gunnery Sergeant Orlando Perez, a spokesperson for MCBH, informed Mirror, that it experienced been landing when it overshot the runway and landed alternatively in the bay.
The base was situated about 10 miles from Hawaii’s capital, Honolulu.
