AN Antiques Roadshow guest introduced in a cartoon drawing of Paul McCartney, designed by their father, hoping for a valuation. Minor did they know, they would be remaining shocked by its astonishing worth.
Expert, Hilary Kay, greeted the guest on the BBC demonstrate with a warm welcome, psyched to hear extra about her product.
The cartoon’s proprietor claimed that her father was a gifted cartoonist who also worked at Heathrow Airport.
The visitor explained: “This is a cartoon my father drew that relates to a incredibly specific celebration that I believe that transpired in January 1984.”
She continued: “And the story is that Sir Paul McCartney and his wife, Linda – at the time, arrived through Heathrow Airport on the way from Barbados, and in Barbados they had been caught with medicines with cannabis.
“So when they arrived back again into Heathrow, my dad’s crew obtained a suggestion-off primarily saying they assumed they were continue to carrying cannabis.

“And so my dad’s staff detained them. They were being interviewed.
“And while supposedly in the job interview room, my dad drew this cartoon about what was happening.”
“You are not critical!” exclaimed Hilary, her shock evident. She included, “So this is totally contemporaneous.”
“He was in a person room getting interviewed your dad was [drawing].”
Continuing with her enthusiasm, Hilary excitedly remarked, “And turning it over, this is actually nice because it seems just like a piece of HMRC notice paper, doesn’t it? It even has the reference there!”
When it came to the valuation, Hilary described: “The sector values it hugely due to the fact it can be a pretty appealing incident in Paul McCartney’s profession and it’s too good a story.
“I feel we are talking about the very least £2,000 to £3,000.”
The visitor was remaining stunned.
“Oh my goodness, no!” she exclaimed.
