PETRIFIED residents on the UK’s “worst” avenue reported it was after a picturesque corner of England – just before morphing into a gang-riddled hellscape.
Bushway Close in the Brierley Hill place of Birmingham was an unremarkable assortment of minimal bungalows.
Built for retired men and women, bouquets grew all around neat front lawns in the tranquil suburb.
But when the council emptied the bungalows and deserted them, residents observed the highway descend into a hearth-ravaged no cost-for-all swarming with rats.
