The impending spy comedy movie Argylle is primarily based on a novel of the similar title — and some followers imagine Taylor Swift is the creator guiding the mysterious e book.
The novel was printed in January 2024 underneath the pseudonym Elly Conway, which is also the identify of Bryce Dallas Howard’s character in the film adaptation. The author’s genuine id continues to be a mystery, and the absence of data has induced supporters to attract their own conclusions about who Elly Conway might be.
Swift appeared like a probable applicant given the Scottish Fold cat featured prominently in the movie, who bears a robust resemblance to Swift’s cats Olivia Benson and Meredith Gray.
The singer also has a history of applying pen names. In 2016, she cowrote Rihanna’s “This Is What You Arrived For” with now-ex Calvin Harris beneath the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg.
Whilst the theories have created buzz for Argylle, the film’s director, Matthew Vaughn, has denied Swift’s involvement.
“There is an Elly Conway who wrote the ebook, but it is not Taylor Swift,” he instructed Rolling Stone in January 2024.
